The primary objective of the Award is to honour the creativity and quality of the best video clips promoting infection control or any measure designed to improve patient safety.
Participation. Individuals, groups, or industry may enter up to two video clips of a 2-5 min duration.
Topics should:
– relate directly to infection control and antimicrobial resistance
– promote and stimulate commitment to infection control and healthcare improvement principles
Clips will be evaluated on their originality, fun factor, and usefulness in promoting the topic. They may feature certain devices or products on the market, but are not allowed to be “promotional” (logo’s or brand name of products may be recognizable but the aim of the clip is promoting infection control, not the product).
Rules. All video clips must be submitted by the closing date of the official abstract deadline, 22 March 2013, midnight CET. An ICPIC jury will select the 10 best clips to be shown during a special session at the 2nd ICPIC where participants will vote for the winners. Three ICPIC Clip Awards will be presented.
All submissions will be posted on an ICPIC-YouTube channel after the meeting and the three top videos will be directly accessible via the ICPIC website.
For the 1st edition of the ICPIC Clip Award, submissions of video clips that have been produced between 1 April 2010 and 31 March 2013 are eligible.
Those submitting and/or presenting the video clip need to hold the copyright and confirm in writing that they agree for the video clip to be made public.
