The corresponding topic must be selected to ensure correct scoring of the abstract. The content of the abstract must be topic related. This includes the author\u2019s details, titles and non-visible characters, such as spaces and line breaks.<\/li><li>Abstracts can be saved in \u201cDraft\u201d status to be re-edited and modified until the submission deadline (<strong>15 May 2025, 23h59 CEST<\/strong>). Therefore, the submitter will be required to create a user account.<\/li><li>Abstracts fulfilling all criteria can be saved in \u201cFinal submission\u201d status. Thus, the submitting author of an abstract is requested to declare any potential conflicts of interest for all authors during abstract submission.<\/li>\n \t<li>Abbreviations should be indicated in parentheses following their first mention in the text.<\/li>\n \t<li>Trade names cannot be mentioned in the title. However, trade names in brackets will be accepted in the body of the text.<\/li>\n \t<li>The submission of an abstract constitutes a formal commitment by the submitting (presenting) author to present the abstract (if accepted) in the form, session and at the time assigned by the Programme Committee. Registration fees will not be waived.<\/li>\n \t<li>The presenting author of the abstract must be registered at the conference within 14 days of confirmation of abstract acceptance (the author will benefit from early bird registration fee).<\/li>\n \t<li>Please ensure your abstract does not contain spelling, grammar, or scientific mistakes, as it will be reproduced exactly as submitted. Linguistic accuracy is your responsibility. No proof reading will be done.<\/li>\n \t<li>No changes can be made to the abstract after the submission deadline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>AFTER THE SUBMISSION<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n \t<li>The reviewers will judge the abstracts according to scientific or clinical value, relevance to ICPIC, conclusions confirmed by objective results, objectivity of statements, originality of work and overall impression.<\/li>\n \t<li>The submitting authors will be notified by end of June 2025 at the email address provided during submission whether their abstract has been accepted. In addition, the submitting author can check the status of the abstract online by using the B-Com account at any time.<\/li>\n \t<li>I am aware that only abstracts from presenting authors who have a valid registration for ICPIC 2025 by the deadline indicated in the notification letter (end of June 2025) and are presenting their work at the conference will be published. The presenters will receive a dedicated email with detailed instructions to confirm their presentation and register. It is mandatory that the same user account is used for the registration and abstract submission. If different accounts are used, we cannot ensure the link between the registration and abstract and guarantee the inclusion of the abstract.<\/li>\n \t<li>If you need to withdraw your abstract a written statement, reflecting the reasons for this decision must be sent to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:icpic.abs@mci-agency.com\">icpic.abs@mci-agency.com<\/a>\u00a0not later than 30 June 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>PRESENTATION OF ABSTRACTS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Abstracts can be accepted either as poster or oral communication.<\/li>\n \t<li>If your abstract is accepted as a poster, you will be requested to be available for discussion during the corresponding poster viewing session.<\/li>\n \t<li>Details on poster format and full presentation guidelines will be included in the notification letter and posted on the conference website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>PUBLICATION<\/strong><\/h3>\nAccepted abstracts presented at ICPIC will be published online in Antimicrobial Resistance &amp; Infection Control (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aricjournal.com\/\">www.aricjournal.com<\/a>), the official ICPIC journal with a 5-year impact factor of 5.8.\n\nAccepted abstracts will also be available on the ICPIC website, about one month prior to the conference.\n<h3><strong>ICPIC CLIP AWARD SUBMISSION<\/strong><\/h3>\nThe primary objective of the Award is to honour the creativity and quality of the best video clips promoting infection control or any measure designed to improve patient safety.\n\n<strong>Participation<\/strong>:\u00a0Individuals, groups, or industry may enter up to two video clips of a 2-5 min duration.\n\nTopics should:\n<ul>\n \t<li>relate directly to infection control and antimicrobial resistance.<\/li>\n \t<li>promote and stimulate commitment to infection control and healthcare improvement principles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nClips will be evaluated on their originality, fun factor, and usefulness in promoting the topic. They may feature certain devices or products on the market but are not allowed to be \u201cpromotional\u201d (logo\u2019s or brand name of products may be recognizable but the aim of the clip is promoting infection control, not the product).<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\nTo take part to the ICPIC Clip Award Contest, applicant must submit an abstract under the topic\u00a0<strong>10b.
